Data protection

personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data") is processed by us only as necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly online presence, including its content and the services offered therein.

According to Article 4, Number 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e., the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), "processing" means any operation or series of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or any other form of making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we determine the purposes and means of processing either alone or together with others. Additionally, we inform you about third-party components used for optimization purposes and to enhance user experience, as long as these third parties process data under their responsibility.

Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

I. Information about us as controllers
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

I. Information about us as controllers

The responsible provider of this website under data protection law is:

UniWearables GmbH
Spinnereistraße 7,

04179 Leipzig

Email: info(at)uniwearables.com

The data protection officer of the provider is:
Maximilian Blendinger

II. Rights of users and data subjects

Regarding the data processing described below, users and data subjects have the right:

  • To confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to access the processed data, and to further information about the data processing, including copies of the data (see also Article 15 GDPR).

  • To correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (see also Article 16 GDPR).

  • To immediate deletion of their data (see also Article 17 GDPR) or, alternatively, if further processing is required under Article 17(3) GDPR, to restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR.

  • To receive their data and transfer it to other providers/controllers (see also Article 20 GDPR).

  • To file a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe their data is being processed unlawfully by the provider (see also Article 77 GDPR).

Furthermore, the provider is required to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed of any correction, deletion, or restriction of processing under Articles 16, 17(1), and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if notification is impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

Users also have the right, under Article 21 GDPR, to object to future processing of their data, provided that the data is processed by the provider under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to processing for direct marketing purposes is permitted.

III. Information on Data Processing

Data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for storage ceases, unless legal retention requirements prevent deletion or unless otherwise stated for specific processing activities.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our free newsletter, the requested data (email address and optionally name and address) will be transmitted to us. We also store the IP address, date, and time of registration. During registration, we obtain your consent to receive the newsletter, describe its content in detail, and refer to this privacy policy.

The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time under Article 7(3) GDPR by informing us or clicking the unsubscribe link in each newsletter.

Contact Inquiries / Contact Options

If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be processed to handle your request. The provision of data is necessary for handling your request—without it, we may be unable to respond or only respond to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully resolved, provided that no legal retention obligations apply, such as for subsequent contract processing.

Online Job Applications / Job Postings

We offer the opportunity to apply for jobs via our website. The applicant's data is electronically collected and processed for the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is Section 26(1) Sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 88(1) GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded, the application data will be stored in the personnel file. If an application is rejected, the submitted data will be deleted two months after rejection unless a longer retention period is required due to legal obligations, e.g., for evidence purposes under the AGG (General Equal Treatment Act).

The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 24(1) No. 2 BDSG. Our legitimate interest is legal defense or enforcement.

If the applicant expressly consents to a longer retention period (e.g., for inclusion in a candidate database), data processing will continue based on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). The applicant can withdraw consent at any time with future effect under Article 7(3) GDPR.
